Saving for college is one of those things families should really start thinking about when their child is still in diapers. However, very few people do.
In advance of 5-29 Day (a time to call attention to the value of saving for college rather than borrowing money to pay for it) Robert Stern, the program manager for the Minnesota College Savings Plan, appeared in the "Money Savers" segment on the Twin Cities' Channel 12 News on April 29. He discussed strategies for saving no matter what age your child may be.
