June is about more than college graduation. It is also a good time to call attention to the importance of saving for college for those who have not yet graduated from high school.
Robert Stern, Program Director for the Minnesota College Savings Plan, did a sit-down interview on KBJR-TV in Duluth, Minn., on June 5 and a radio interview with KROC-AM in Rochester, Minn., on June 2. He will be on PBS' Almanac North, a live show prpduced out of Duluth, on June 27.
In May Stern participated in about 20 media interviews, discussing how to save for college. On May 29, he was interviewed by a reporter from the Detroit Lakes Newspaper.
On May 28 he appeared on thee radio shows: WJON-AM in St. Cloud, WWWI-AM in Brainerd and KTOE-AM in Mankato, and there was an article in the Grand Rapids Herald Review.
On May 27 he was quoted in articles in the Lakeshore Weekly newspaper in Wayzata and the Mesabi Daily Messenger.
He appeared on the FOX 9-Minneapolis 5 p.m. News on May 26.
On May 21, he was quoted in articles that appeared in the Forest Lake Times and Mille Lacs Messenger.
He was interviewed on the Jordana Green Show on WCCO Radio in Minneapolis the evening of May 20. Also that day, The Northfield News published an article about 5-29 Day, and an article appeared in the Duluth Budgeteer on May 19.
